Sometimes
we identify our pets with people and forget that some things which
are good for us may be even dangerous for our dog health.
We try to
treat them with everything tasty, but these things are tasty only
according to our opinion and are not good for dog health. So, you
should consider that you ought not to treat your dog with the food
which is usual for you. For example, children always want to treat
their lovely pets with chocolate or other sweets. And the worst thing
is that the dogs can't resist these products when someone offers them
it. But we should warn you that one gram per kilogram of chocolate
may be dangerous for dog health.
Chocolate
contains theobromine, which remain in the blood of the animal for 20
hours and may cause fast heat rate and hallucinations, and heart
attacks, which even may lead to such grave consequences for dog
health as death. So, if your dog has eaten chocolate, contact a
veterinarian immediately. Especially it is very dangerous for small
dogs, but large breeds are also susceptible to poisoning of this
product.
The
other products which are dangerous for dog health – grapes
and
raisins. It is still unknown why these products cause such grave
consequences for dog health. First of all, you should consider the
following symptoms of this toxicity. Vomiting and diarrhea develop
within several hours after ingestion. Look for the raisins or grapes
in the vomitus or stool, in order to be sure that these products
caused the ingestion. The following symptoms are weakness, not
eating, increasing drinking.
Onion
and garlic are also dangerous for dog health. Even products, which
contain onion powder may cause death of the little animal. Even a
small amounts of these food may lead to different dog health problems
and the first symptoms of poisoning are diarrhea and vomiting.
Nuts
are also not dog health-giving for your lovely pet. This product may
cause tremors and abdominal pain. So, don't treat your dog with these
tasty things, it is really harmful for him.
Some
people decide to treat their dogs with different alcoholic beverages.
It seems to be very funny to observe a dog, whose reaction on the
alcohol
is similar to ours. But you should notice that the ingredients which
are used
in making beer, in particular hop, are very dangerous for dog health
and even may lead to death. So, keep it away from every dog.
By
the way, dogs also have food allergies, as usual on seafood. It is
very individual reaction and we can't tell you which products you
should avoid in this case. Just observe your dog every time he eats
some new product.
